Аннотация

Economics is the study of how societies allocate scarce resources to satisfy human wants and needs. It is divided into two main branches: microeconomics and macroeconomics. Microeconomics studies the behavior of individual economic agents, such as households, firms, and markets, while macroeconomics focuses on the performance of entire economies. Macroeconomics is concerned with the analysis of the economy as a whole, including issues such as economic growth, inflation, unemployment, and the balance of payments (BP). It aims to understand the behavior of key economic variables and the factors that influence them, such as fiscal and monetary policies, international trade, and financial markets. Poverty reduction, social equity, and sustainable growth are only possible with sound macroeconomic policies that aim to achieve stable economic growth and reduce economic fluctuations. For example, fiscal policies, such as government spending and taxation, and monetary policies, such as interest rate adjustments and the regulation of money supply, can be used to stabilize the economy and promote economic growth. The main body of macroeconomic theory applies to a developed, capitalist economy, where productive assets are owned by individuals or firms, and economic decisions are taken by individuals and firms acting independently of one another and coordinated via the market mechanisms. However, modern capitalist economies also have significant state sectors that intervene in the operation of market forces to redirect or suppress them.
