It is hoped that, as usual, the various sections in this issue of The Statesman’s Year-Book will be found to have been revised and the information brought up to the latest available date. Thanks largely to the assistance of Mr. H. St. J. Philby, the section relating to Arabia lias been entirely recast, giving a conspectus of economic, and especially of political, affairs in that country as they were in March of this year. Information in regard to all countries which has come to hand too late for inclusion in the body of the book will be found in the “ Additions and Corrections.” The Introductory Tables follow in the main the lines of those which have appeared in the Year-Book in recent years. It is again a pleasure to express our gratitude to numerous friends all over the world for their valuable co-operation.
